December 2023 Updated ~ Requests
Often people will ask for requests from me, and I'm happy to oblige. Be of note though some general guidelines:
I offer some requests periodically on a first come first serve basis.
I accept or decline requests at my discretion. If it's subject matter I'm not comfortable with, or if it just doesn't pique my interest, I will decline.
I am NOT an art machine/photocopier/AI Generator. It takes me time to do requests so have patience.
I do this as a hobby, for FUN in my free time. I have a full time job and other real life obligations, so again, patience is required.
My request status is posted in my tagline on my Deviant page/front page. This will give you an indicator if I am accepting requests, and how many at the present time. READ IT!
Requests should be posted as a comment on my Deviant page/front page, a comment on this journal, or in a note to me, NOT shoehorned into deviation page comments. It's easier for me to keep track of who's requested what, when and where.
Keep the request size to a reasonable amount. One to three maybe four characters is reasonable for a single drawing request. Five to ten to more is NOT a reasonable amount.
When I've taken on a request from you, please don't repeatedly message me with "is my request done yet" over and over. That is internet spam. As stated above, I have other obligations, and patience and manners are a must.
If you've recently received a request completion from me, don't just keep piling the requests on, let other people have a turn. Rule of thumb would be a month or more 'cool down' period before I consider it.
As an indicator of if I've accepted your request, I'll likely have commented back to you, or at least hit the little heart 'like button' on your comment. I have a running list, so if you've made a request at some point and I've acknowledged it, it's in there, you don't need to keep re-requesting it on multiple places/deviations.
If I turn you down on the basis of time/availability, don't fret; just ask again in a month or so, my schedule might have opened up again by that point.
If I turn you down based on subject matter/interest: that doesn't permanently "disqualify" you, it just means to try a different subject or request at a later date.
If (for certain people) you keep repeatedly posting/asking for the same thing over and over, and I've deleted those comments, that is a sign of a hard NO. (or in some few instances, that I already have it noted down on my to do list, BE Patient!)
